Royal Standard Hosta forms large mounds that could grow up to 26 inches and spread over 63 inches. Its leaves are bright green and shiny with noticeable veining. The Royal Hosta blooms funnel-shaped white flowers in late summer or early fall on leafy, pale green scapes that rise up to 42 inches. The flowers of this variety of hosta exude a distinctive fragrance.
Excellent for mass planting, Hosta Royal Standard prefers partial to full shade. It can thrive well in average to moist soil conditions and display tolerance towards different soil types and different levels of soil pH. It can be put to use in woodland gardens, in border gardens, and as a ground cover.
