Pathfinder Hosta

Pathfinder Hosta is a medium-sized hosta variety that features thick, heart-shaped, dark green leaves with a bright white center that is speckled with green flecks. The leaves are slightly shiny and lightly corrugated. Hosta pathfinder can grow up to 16 inches in height and develop a width of about 24 inches. A sport of Hosta ‘Francee,’ it displays good slug resistance and has a medium growth rate. Pathfinder blooms tubular lavender flowers on 30-inch scapes that sway majestically above the clump in late summer.

Because of its thick leaves, Hosta Pathfinder holds up well through the season. Pathfinder prefers partial to full shade and grows well in well-drained, moist soil. It could find use in shaded border gardens, woodland gardens, and can also be used as cut flowers.
